May 14 Pappy rambut bagusWhen I was a child of 4 years old, I used to get up very early in the morning and woke up all the neighbours on the same floor where my family lived in Moscow in the early 60s. How did I do that? By banging at their doors and worst was at the door of a man whose I liked so much to touch by saying: "Pappy, rambut Pappy bagus.." . Every morning mommy used to get nervous everytime she found me banging at this man's door. I always got her embarassed because as the door opened I would see him sitting right facing the entrance with a newspaper in his hand and I would directly go to him and climbed to his knees and disturbed his reading
Well, years gone by, now I am a mother and living outside my birth-country as an alien, and once day, if you believe that messages can be conveyed through various ways, he seemed to appear like a shadow in my sitting room. He said:" Where am I? I can not see anything!" then as I recognised him, without a word I prayed to the Lord and request Lord Jesus, because Lord Jesus is very well known for his miracles (mukjizat), to make this man see. My prayer was straight-away accorded and he saw me and he called my baby-name, Then I said:" Yes, pappy, it is me" and he said:" Please, save my son!" then he disappeared. I was left dumb-founded. Bad thought criss-crossing my mind. The memories of my baby-hood played in my eyes like videos. As these all rolled over I concentrated my mind towards Lord Jesus saying:" I return all the authorities to Lord Jesus, cause in this situation where I am only Lord Jesus can help". Then I said to pappy in mind that I would do my best though I do not know how. So, that was one of the closest attachements between me and that Russian man April 18 La Nuit Sacree (The Sacred Night) La Nuit Sacree
"La Nuit Sacree" is a book written by Tahar Ben Jelloun, telling a story about a girl treated by her father as a boy in a certain
Arabic society. The author wrote it almost without restraint. Almost with bold expression and the book is in French language.
Some expressive expression was as follows: " Dans son regard, je captais parfois les traces de quelques humiliations" which to my
understanding means: " In her stare I captured sometimes traces of some humiliations" . And in the middle part of the story it was
described how vengeange was afflicted to this girl.
As I arrived at almost the end of the story, some phrases astonished me , which were:
" One day, not one night, the nights are on the other side, one day you will mistress a bird of prey, it will sit on your shoulder and
indicate you the path.. One day the sun will come down a little closer towards you. You won't be able to escape him. He will let
your body remain intact but will burn everything all that it contains. One day, the mountain will open up herself and take you....
if you are man, she will keep you; if you are woman, she will offer you a bed of stars and send you towards the land of infinite
love......" just to read that the subject "I..." here was described as a "tomboy".
The writer of this book really described something about this Arabic group in such a way that astonished many of his readers.
February 03 Memories, light the corners of my mind! Memories light the corners of my mind
By: gustinecat
Well, I don't really remember when was the first day me and the members of my family started browsing and surfing throught the Internet, making effort to be intellectual
filling up our memories with so many knowledge, as we all call it knowledge, wasting our time, forgetting our main duties as what each one of us is.
We have got ourselves busted and we got ourselves reformatted and re-installed, all for the fun of this memories.
Then the last re-installation and re-connections and new networking went so good, especially for me who handle a non-password end-user account in out family computer.
Me and my Hotmail connection despite of the incapabilities of our LIveMessenger due to the inferior-version and the Yahoo! Services accessed from this desk-top. It was going on so well until the Administrator started complaining that the RAM is too small, which was 128 MB. Who is the Administrator? My 17 years old daughter who is going to complete her High School at the end of this 2009 school year. She kept pestering her father about this, saying that the access speed is so slow that she needs to work fast.
So! About last week, they got the new memory-card, four times bigger than the original. Then, again reformatting et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.
Here we go, re-starting!!! Yesterday, Monday, was okey. everything went smooth. Hotmail? No problem at all, good!
Yahoo! Well, ist seemed I got different type of Messenger box, which is completely different than the previous. It did not matter though it look lousier. I was able to add Plugs-in attached to my Messenger contact list box, Okey, that was fine, remain the Yahoo! Search to be added to the Messenger. But........... this morning, for the sake of the memories...... Belie-me, I could not even access my French Messenger!!! Was I at fault or the system which consists of the ISP, the Administrator of the server and the end-users, ???? Well, I will see what I can do tomorrow, perhaps it is the name of the account which is unacceptable to the system. After all it is the work of the Administrator to maintain a good system. I have been a user of this Internet Services for quite sometime. In fact, I am not someone who is in the Informatics Technology. I am just a woman who happenned to have little experience in operating an IBM Mainframe which at that time did not even have any Mainframe Windows' Database Maintenance System installed in its system. That was about 20 years ago. Now, today , in 2008 as I sit at home with Windows' XP Professional Server plus Windows' XP Home Edition accompanying the Prof, as an end-user, I find it all amazing and amusing. As I see myself, playing and typing on the keyboard of this computer in front of me, with a knowledge that this system is also provided with a built-in modem that can connect me with the world outside my home even abroad, and assisted with what nowadays is known as Internet Services Provider Com pany, I am finding that everything is just marvelous.
Many a times I thought of getting some informations of what might have been happening to the Mainframe that I used to operate long time ago. Has it changed yet? But, too bad, I have not found any way yet to contact them. If only my ex-collegues knew what I am doing here in this place,, I wonder what they would say.
Offers on this system further enhancements keep on coming my way until I become confused. That I think I will be needing experts' advises and counseling, but helas, I bump into Monetary and Funds problems. And that eats my poor soul.
In short, I simply love them all, Windows' Live and their companions....!
I AM KEEPING IT UP....... I AM KEEPING IT UP.... GOODLUCK TO ME!!!!! December 01 My Son, my boy My Son, my boy
By : gustinecat
About four years after my leaving the house of my father and arrived here in Port Louis, I had quite a quiet nausea and dizziness.
My daughter was about 3 years old. I went to a laboratory and had a urine-test, and after several days the report came as positive.
Having a girl, this time I dreamt of a son. But it was not easy, it was not a peaceful pregnancy. I have gone through lots of disturbances until
the fifth month as I had my belly USG-ed. Gee, I remember how the gyneacologist gave me hope while playing puzzle. Then by the following
month he confirmed it. But.... to my fright..., the hope came 2 (two) weeks earlier, and in the night where there was only one nurse on duty while
the maternity waiting room was full. And he came out leaving my uterus even before that poor nurse was able to attend to me. I remember how my
neighbour on the adjacent bed yelled telling her that my baby was already out
Well, now, about today, my son is 13 years old and 7 months. Today was the day when they distributed the results of his school examination.
It was me who accompanied him instead of his father. As his mother who knows this boy well, was afraid of what I was going to see on his results book, because last year, though he made it to his second level, his results were not satisfying. And his daddy was cross.
Today, still was not very good, but he went up in his examination rank from 33 to 25. This I hope will pacify his daddy a bit.
So, the point was, my son was not born to be intelligent like others considering that he was born prematured and was not incubated. And I was already 35 years of age. Even now as I am typing this blog, am wishing to get some strength of mind that I can help my only son to succeed in his studies that he has to pass his 3rd year of college to be able to sit in senior High School and continue until at least Bachelor Degree.
Well, mothers and their dreams about their prides......
"You're my world, my son , my boy
You are my life, my pride, my joy....!!!"
June 13 Dinicapon's Friday the 13th Dinicapon's Friday the 13th
By: gustinecat
As usual, I always get-up in the morning following the European 5.45 AM, which is
about 8.45 AM in Mauritius. I heard Dinicapon (Capon for short) miaowing noisily in the house
as the man of the house and his daughter were leaving.
Capon saw me got up and he followed me to the entrance of the bathroom, and he waited
for me. I went to the kitchen, he followed, miaowing. I gave him his food as I prepared my own
breakfast. Then Capon left by the window of the dining-room. My man's son asked where the cat was, I told him.
After sometime, the cat was back, this time he wouldn't leave me in peace. He continued
following. I stood in front of the fridge, he miaowed. I went to my bedroom, he followed miaowing.
Gave him again his food, he ate.... again he miaowed. I became nervous I yelled:" Capon! Assez!!!"
which means "Enough". Still it wasn't enough..... This time, I said:"Cette fois-ci je te mets de-hors!"
"This time I put you out-side!" as I picked him up and brought him out-side of the appartment saying:"
Vas-y, alles-toi chasser le pigeon". "Go ahead, you go hunt the pigeon." So, I closed the door and forgot
about him. And my son left the appartment to join his sister in a shop.
Hours passed by, my kids came knocking at the door. I opened and my son said:" I think Capon has
killed another pigeon! Go and have a look behind those carton on the lower landing of the stairs."
I checked it out..... it was true, the 7th pigeon was decapitated and eaten. I looked at Capon who was sitting in his box, and he looked at me with such expression, afraid. As for me, looking at him , I thought:"So he really did it. As I told him to!! April 22 Adolescent Age FriendshipAdolescent Age Friendship

April 15 SIRO of David IgnatiusSIRO of David Ignatius By: gustinecat Well, here I go again, telling you about a book. At the beginning the contents were a bit boring, it was a conversation between a new lady spy recruit and a lady superior. Then came an interesting part when one of the new recruit future contact made a discovery about a man which he thought would be dangerous to some countries, especially the countries of the eastern block. When the man called Taylor went to see another man is his team with a recorded conversation of the dangerous man with some people of the Soviet States, this other man called Timmons went white. I read again, continued with the thrill with many questions turning around my little bird's brain. As I visualize those countries in my imaginary visions. Those nations and their situations today in the year 2008, I was telling myself..."This is incredible, and squarely unbelievable!". Did David Ignatius predicted it or
he was simply writing whatever came to his imaginations. All that he described in the book is some kind of plots which took place in the process of certain liberation
movements of some Russian states ignited by that certain dangerous person. This SIRO was first printed in 1991, and as we look back through the recent history of USSR where many of her States detached themselves from Moscow, I saw that they were all described in this book in advanced as the events took place sometime two or three years after the first publication of this book. Well, my friends, I was sad, when I saw what had happened out there. I cried a lot, too, because I had a very beautiful souvenir out there when I was a little girl, but who could tell anyway. And this SIRO got me...! No one can say anything about THE MYSTERY OF LIFE
March 17 Help NASA Name Telescope Help NASA Name Satellite
By: gustinecat
I always have interest in space science. Interested in planets, galaxies and constellations, from what they call Sirius, our own Milky Way (La Voie Lactee in French) and mysterious Andromeda. Today when I opened my e-mail inbox, there sat a title:"Help NASA Name Satellite". Gee, this boosted up my adrenaline. Well, I read it.... so there I went thinking, and thinking , I took all the dictionaries I have, including encyclopedias (which not many that I have).
I read about those who have submitted. One gave "The Horizon", another "Cyclop Gamma Ray", and another "Peekaboo" and one gave such a long list of selections.
Truly, it is not the giving names that excites me the most, but the telescope itself. Tried to look for its descriptions from the same page (since I always run out of time) but alas, I got to complete this little blog. My excitement is such, that all sorts of thoughts of reading more about this telescope, from of up to what extense is the capacityand how far this telescope can see. Could it reach the faraway and mythical Andromeda and reveal her secrets...... Crazy, isn't it?
Oh, we go back to the names.... if you are curious and would like to know and join in the choosing the name, just check it out at:
February 27 My Favourite Rock Band My Favourite Rock Band
By: gustinecat
People must have some things that they like, music band, places, activities et cetera. Now, I am going to speak about rock bands. There are a lot of rack bands in the world, and they are world-wide known, like Eagles, Nazareth, Black Sabbath, Alcatrazz, White Lion, and many others.
My brothers were crazy about "Queen" and they still are
What about me? Well, you know, many think that I am a jolly good crazy girl... "Je suis tellement bonne, et 'jive' aussi" , so it made me recall one certain moment in my solitude when it struck my mind..... and I said to myself: "Eih, that's a good name".
Since then on I kept on searching for that name , I found it in a cassette back in a shop in Jakarta ..."Duta Suara"..... I bought that 'name'.... sat quietly in my bedroom , thinking...."Yeah, it is good..., veryyyy..., veryyyy.... good" to me....!
Years gone by , today as I sit here... I think of my Valentine's gift from my boyfriend

January 25 New Year 2008 New Year 2008
By: gustinecat
Every year ends, so the year 2007 ended leaving memories, good or bad, sad or happy and as the past is going behind, the hope for better future is in the minds and sent towards all corners of the world.
Last December 2007 as I introspect my own self, I saw so many flaws and yet I saw wonders in those hard flows of mine. Those flaws formed darkness that sat in my mind like rocky clouds.... so I thought of something to amuse myself. And hoping that the end of the year 2007 would be memorable.
So after putting up a Christmas tree on the Eve of the 25th December, I asked my BF what we would do on New Year's Eve and he said we would see. Days went by dully until the eve.
The eve.... he told me to get ready so were the kids, we were going to the neighbours, the Soulanges. We chatted, drank and sang to the karaoke. It was good. When the clock stroke 12, we drank to the best wishes of 2008. Then suddenly my BF said:"Honey, hurry up, we got to get home1"....I stared at him, questioning. "Straight to the roof..... fire-crackers.... silly-girl!"
So, I stood up right away....oh, my! I saw the wall turning
The kids followed me and at last I made it, we made it to the roof of the appartment. Then he came by...:"Everything's ready? Now, come and quick!" ....In a minute....SSSwwwwwuuuiiiiiiiiittttt.......pattar!!!! Flying fire-crackers from the rooftop to the sky in multi-colours like St. Petersburgh

WE LIKE EACH OTHER!!! September 25 A huntress in the house - by gustinecat A huntress in the house
By: gustinecat
It was the 22nd of September 2007, I was thinking of the coming birthday of my cousin back home in Depok, Indonesia. So I started my usual day by doing ordinary work.
So, the time came for me to feed the pigeons on the roof of our appartment. Our now only cat, Dinicapon, followed me as she saw me with a pot in my hand. We reached the roof, I threw the birds' food with Dinicapon watching.
Then I saw Dinicapon moving with a sneaky motion as I was through with the feeding. I laughed watching her and I said in Creole language:"Alors, to pe appranne chassee couma ene pantere?" So, I left her on the roof and went down to the appartment for my next chore.
I collected newly washed clothings from the washing-machine to put to dry. As I climbed up the staircase, I noticed a lot of pigeon' feathers scattered about on the staircases. I asked myself where all these feathers came from. I continued climbing, then by the middle-landing of the staircases I spotted Dinicapon sitting on the pigeon with the head of the pigeon in her mouth....I yelled:"Wildan, come and see, quick! Come and see!!!" My son rushed out from the appartment,:"What happened?" So, he went up the stairs and then:"Yeeelk!" Bad Capon!!! He looked at me with this

Dinicapon said:" We came together!"
" We ate together and play together"
" I was never jealous because little master favors you!"
" You received all the pamperings more than I did."
"But you never seemed to be satisfied."
" You said we'd always be together"
" But where are you now."
" You've gone."
" I hate you, Imbecile!"
" Do you hear, Stella-Imbecile?"
September 04 Independence Days by gustinecat I was brought up in the family who many of them are or were serving the government .
I always look forward to Independence Day celebrations. they were always nice and fun. Time passed by so quickly, now that I am far
away from home.
It was on a bright day that I and my companion lifted up our luggages onto a taxi from the residence where I stayed in the eastern
part of Jakarta. My step-grandmother bade me goodbye saying "don't know when we will meet again" and all that 'take care of yourself' stuffs.
And my auntie and her children and my own grandmother already waiting at the airport to bid us "goodluck'. So, we took off.
Now here we are. No one that I knew. Made quite a lot of acquaintances. No representative of my country. Then something was worked out by someone. At last, a honorary consulate was established here where I am. Then I continued having Indepencence Day celebrations, until this year.
A call came from one of the Indonesian society members about a week before the D-Day. So, as it has always been, I got excited. My boyfriend came home and I told him. OK, he said
Well, I went out to buy all of those things with a kind of joy. Walking leisurely, greeted a neighbour, smiling ... then I crossed the street. On this side of the street, I spotted some dirt laying just on the outer side of the small draining canal, then as I jumped crossing this canal to land on the pavement side of the street, my right toe tipped the edge of the canal ....mama mia.... couln't believe that I missed the landing... I plunged onto the pavement, flat on my belly, kising it...... quite hard and quite painful.....! Bruised lips and knees... got my things and went back home.....Look at them children, staring at their mother with questioning look that I had to explain... they bursted in laughter
And yet, the following day, still we went to attend the celebrations and everyone's reactions were...." Goodness, what's happened to you... " stuffs. But everything went well, made new acquaintances had good Chinese food dinner.
Back home, thinking WHAT A DAY!!! |
