Every year ends, so the year 2007 ended leaving memories, good or bad, sad or happy and as the past is going behind, the hope for better future is in the minds and sent towards all corners of the world.

Last December 2007 as I introspect my own self, I saw so many flaws and yet I saw wonders in those hard flows of mine. Those flaws formed darkness that sat in my mind  like rocky clouds.... so I thought of something to amuse myself. And hoping that the end of the year 2007 would be memorable.

So after putting up a Christmas tree on the Eve of the 25th December, I asked my BF what we would do on New Year's Eve and he said we would see. Days went by dully until the eve.

The eve.... he told me to get ready so were the kids, we were going to the neighbours, the Soulanges. We chatted, drank and sang to the karaoke. It was good. When the clock stroke 12, we drank to the best wishes of 2008. Then suddenly my BF said:"Honey, hurry up, we got to get home1"....I stared at him, questioning.  "Straight to the roof..... fire-crackers.... silly-girl!"Surprised.
So, I stood up right away....oh, my! I saw the wall turningConfused..."What happened? Can't keep yourself on your feet?" . Ha! I forgot that I had quite a good number of glasses of sparkling wine. "It's OK, I can manage!"......"Sure? You be careful when you get down and go up the staircase!"...."OK!". As I walked passing him by he said:" Don't forget the fire-crackers!"

The kids followed me and at last I made it, we made it to the roof of the appartment. Then he came by...:"Everything's ready? Now, come and quick!"  ....In a minute....SSSwwwwwuuuiiiiiiiiittttt.......pattar!!!! Flying fire-crackers from the rooftop to the sky in multi-colours like St. PetersburghOpen-mouthed I watched them as I kept leaning on the wall to guard my balance. It was nice, thought of my folks back home, my late mother. Then I watched "Le Plus Grand Cabaret du Monde" of France Television and went to sleep at 03.00 AM Mauritius timeSmile with "a rendez-vous with Port Louis Library" on the 4th of January 2008 on my mind....HotCat face
